White rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits

My great-grandma used to tell us that if we said 'White rabbits' on the first day of the month before we said anything to anyone else, we'd have good luck.

I can't say I always remember but I shall definitely be saying it tomorrow morning.

At 12.00, we're going to *collect the keys to our new house. I really wouldn't want anything to get in the way of that little task!

What will you be doing on 1st March 2013?

* OK - I was a bit previous! We have signed all the papers but it will be around 11 o'clock before Cesar can get the keys tomorrow. At the time, I will be with the children in Priego de Cordoba as they are going to have a session of archery tuition. Hoping for bull's eyes all round! Guess where we'll be tomorrow afternoon, though!!!

    1. Thanks Janice - we have signed all the papers and the house is officially ours but there was a problem with the keys as they're with a friend of the owner and he couldn't come into town today. So it's tomorrow. Hope all is well in Caunes. Axxx

  2. Keeping out of the way of people who say "Pinch, punch, it's the 1st of the month!"
    (That's what my Granny said.)

    1. We're not blue but our red-letter day will be tomorrow, Perpetua, due to the usual slight dislocation of communications...but at least we know it's ours now and I can (will have to) wait just a little while longer.
Welsh cakes and bara brith sound rather good - enjoy!

    1. Many thanks, Helva! It will be a little while before we're fully installed but we have at least time to move in without a huge rush. We are lucky in that we laugh loud and love lots in our family and we hope this will continue once we are in our own home. Axxx

    1. Thank you, Gaynor. It will take a little while for us to get settled and we're staying on in the rented house until the end of the month for a number of reasons but we have time to move at our leisure which will be SUCH a relief!

  9. You've stopped by my blog and kindly left comments, Annie, I wanted to stop by yours and found this post. One of my first posts, back in November of '09, was simply "Rabbit, Rabbit". I was surprised that others used the same greeting on the 1st of the month as well, and here you are, Annie! By now, your keys are in hand and you are unpacking. Best wishes in your new home. Penny

    1. Thanks Penny. I shall check your 'Rabbit' post now - it's strange isn't it, which little rituals travel the world in one form or another? Right now, although the keys are in our hand, it's the packing that we're doing, in order to move gently and seamlessly (!) from one house to another before the month is out.
Thanks for popping by. You will notice you are amongst friends here! Axxx
