play games in the water!
This was the last day of the football season for Ruy and a letter came home to say that instead of practice, there would be organised games, including the possibility of a water fight. What fun lay ahead?
Well, lots as it happens. And not just for the footballers - all were welcome.

They had a great time. Slept well last night too!
Couls this be why the Spanish are sooooo good at football?
ReplyDeleteThe Spanish are obsessed with football! Ruy always thought he was quite good at football at school in England. He has seriously revised his opinion here in Spain. He is in awe of some of his classmates. Axx
DeleteRomy really does look so much like you Annie. It looks as if they all had a great time. An excellent way to end the season. Do they now adopt a summer sport to tire themselves out, or do they just rely on the heat for that ? J xx
ReplyDeleteI went back to look at the photos when I read your first comment and yes, I can see the similarity there. In daily life, I don't see it so much. Aww. From the end of June, it is swimming, swimming, swimming - plus, of course, walking the dog! Axxx
DeleteHow great to see children so active, Annie. The weather helps, of course, but it needs to be part of the culture to get them away from their computer games. Go, kids. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy youngest two have a very healthy mix, Perpetua, because they love to run about and play sports. The eldest - lost cause as far as games is concerned, though he is happy to take the dog on long walks and seems relatively fit. He's always hated organised games and has always been unable to throw, hit or kick a ball with any success. However, he is a veritable knowledge pit and spends his time either with a book on his knee or in front of a computer - but not much entices him to work up a sweat. I do worry a bit but know from experience that he will resist all forms of encouragement! Maybe one day he'll feel the urge to move his body but I cannot complain that he doesn't exercise his mind.
DeleteIn the meantime, the other two are quite competitive enough for one family. Yesterday we played 'Pictionary' in the kitchen and that nearly became physical at one point! Axxx
