Am I completely daft ? What am I missing that other people understand ? What does bloglovin do Annie ? The blurb says it stops you missing your favourite blogs by letting you know when there is a new post. Does this mean it emails you to tell you when there is a new post ? I think it would drive me crazy if my e mail in box got stuffed full of notifications of new posts....I dont think I miss posts, as I look at my list of blogs followed each day, which I have listed on the right hand side of my posts, and read the new ones. It's just as easy to catch up on back posts if I have gone a few days without reading things...so I'm puzzled by this.Does it do something else really clever that I am missing out on completely ???? I think it must....help !!! Jxxxx
Don't panic - I don't know what I'm doing either! I do as you do, I read the updates from my own blog but many other people have used Google Reader and apparently that is being discontinued. Bloglovin' is a replacement method for Google Reader - you can see the blogs you follow. I can't quite see what the point is but it's a way of making sure that people can find you...I suppose. Axxx
Moooooo! ^ That's me, following the herd. I loved Google Reader, because in a tidy, streamlined fashion it showed me, in chronological order, the latest posts from the bloggers I was following. It was one stop shopping. I got into the habit of looking their, because when it started there were no updates in my own blog list.
Thanks, Annie. :-) I'm another who has put a Bloglovin button on my sidebar, underneath the Follow by email box. It's not so much for those like Janice who happily follow blogs through their blog lists or dashboards, but those like me who prefer to read blogs in Google Reader or the people who follow blogs without being bloggers themselves.
I didn't recognise your blog Annie......great new name for your new look blog.........I already follow you on bloglovin, I find it so much easier than google reader ever was. Kim xx
I thought it was time for a new name, having found our house and stopped 'moving on'! Glad you like it. I don't use bloglovin or google but I know that some readers and bloggers do, so it seemed like the right thing to do. Axxx
